A audiovisual splitboard experience
About the project
In the winter of 2023, Levi Luggen and Gregor Betschon filmed a splitboarding movie in
the Swiss Alps, capturing all footage themselves. The film features stunning
backcountry descents, paired With an original soundtrack by Andreas Achermann and
poems written by Joshua Truscott. It premiered at the Freeride Film Festival, where
Achermann performed his live score in sync With the film, creating a unique and
immersive experience for the audience. The collaboration between the filmmakers.

Soundtrack
Andreas Achermann composed the soundtrack for the film Gale, creating the entire score using his modular synthesizers.
Every sound in the film was crafted entirely from his custom-made modular rack, resulting in a unique and organic audio experience. Achermann also performed the whole Soundtrack live in front of an audience in cinemas.
